The managers of NMP’s current fund, Noro-Moseley Partners VII, have more than 60 years of direct venture investing experience collectively and bring a diverse set of skills in areas of operations, information technology, consulting and finance. This experience, combined with the firm’s history of having invested in more than 190 portfolio companies through nearly three economic cycles, has allowed NMP to develop a long-term perspective and a keen understanding of the venture creation process.

Allen Moseley joined NMP in 1998 and leads the firm’s healthcare practice focused primarily in healthcare information technology and healthcare services. He currently represents NMP on the boards of Hospicelink, Navitas Credit Corp., Novu, Pure Life Renal, and Streamline Health Solutions (NASDAQ: STRM), and serves as a board observer for Advance Health. Allen was previously a director for several prior NMP investments including Apex Analytix (acquired by PNC Equity), Bloodhound Technologies (acquired by Verisk Analytics), Lanx (acquired by Biomet, Inc.), RemitDATA (acquired by eSolutions), Renal CarePartners (acquired by Ambulatory Services of America), Senior Whole Health (acquired by TA Associates), U.S. Radiosurgery (acquired by Alliance Imaging), Valor Healthcare (acquired by Humana), Wellcentive (acquired by Philips) and Witness Systems (board observer, IPO and acquired by Verint Systems).

Prior to joining NMP, Allen was in the corporate finance group at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, an investment banking firm previously owned by Citigroup and most recently acquired by SunTrust. Allen worked extensively in the healthcare and business services industries, advising on a number of initial public offerings, M&A transactions and private placements. He was also involved in R-H Capital Partners, the private equity investment arm of the firm. Previously, Allen held investment banking positions with Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company and Merrill Lynch & Co.

Allen currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA), the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Research Alliance and the Technology Association of Georgia, and the Board of Directors of the Nashville Health Care Council. Allen received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Alan Taetle joined NMP in 1998 and has focused his investment activities on software and information technology companies. He currently represents NMP on the boards of PureWRX, Red Canary, Salesfusion and TrendKite. Alan was previously a director or observer for several prior NMP investments, including Clearleap (sold to IBM), Virtustream (sold to EMC), Vocalocity (sold to Vonage Holdings Corp.), Acumen Brands (sold to General Atlantic), SecureWorks (sold to Dell), Adjoined Consulting (sold to Capgemini), OpenSite Technologies (sold to Siebel Systems), CipherTrust (sold to Secure Computing), and PRE Holdings (sold to InComm).

Prior to joining NMP, Alan was the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for MindSpring (which merged with EarthLink in 2000). Alan joined MindSpring as its 13th employee in 1995, and oversaw the company’s subscriber growth from 4,000 to over 325,000 in just three years. Prior to MindSpring, Alan served in various systems and product management roles with CogniTech Corporation, makers of contact management software; Itochu International, a Japanese trading company; and Electronic Data Systems, a systems integration consulting company. Alan is a previous board member of ChoicePoint, Inc., a NYSE company (acquired by Reed Elsevier in 2008) focused on providing information that helps companies make educated, intelligent choices to reduce risk and fraud.

Alan currently serves as Chairman of Venture Atlanta and is the Past Chair of the Florida Venture Forum. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Georgia Tech College of Computing. He is also a charter member of TiE Atlanta. Alan serves on the Board of Directors of GivingPoint, a nationwide community-based youth development organization. Alan received a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mike Elliott joined NMP in 2005 with 21 years of successful venture capital investment experience. Previously, Mike spent eight years as a Managing Director of The Wakefield Group, a private venture firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina with an investment focus similar to that of NMP. Mike invested primarily in technology and business services companies, at early and growth stages of development, and has continued that focus at NMP. Currently, Mike represents NMP on the boards of FrontStream Payments, MacStadium, Outbound Engine and TapInfluence.

Prior to Wakefield Group, Mike was a Managing Director of NationsBank Capital (now Bank of America Capital Investors), Bank of America’s private equity investment arm, where he managed large financings of later-stage growth companies. He began his venture investment career as a founding partner of NCNB Venture Co., L.P., the venture investment arm of NCNB, the predecessor of Bank of America. During his venture career, Mike has been an active board member and sponsor of several highly successful ventures, including Appia (acquired by Digital Turbine), Affiliated Managers (NYSE: AMG), Redgate Communications (sold to AOL), Medic Computer Systems (sold to Misys), OpenSite Technologies (sold to Siebel Systems), and Serologicals (sold to Millipore).

Mike has served on the Boards of the National Venture Capital Association and the Executive Committee of the NASBIC Board of Governors. As former Chairperson and current Board Member of the CED in Research Triangle Park, Mike is extensively involved in North Carolina’s entrepreneurial community. Mike received a BS in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, where he was both a Morehead Scholar and Maurice Lee Fellow.

Spence McClelland joined NMP in 2010 and supports the firm’s investments in healthcare, software and tech-enabled services. Spence is focused on reviewing investment opportunities and on working with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute their strategic plans. He currently represents NMP on the boards of Contessa Health, Envera Health, GetInsured, Hospicelink. LogicStream and Pure Life Renal, and serves as a board observer for Streamline Health. Spence was previously a board member of Change Healthcare (acquired by Emdeon) and Wellcentive (board observer, acquired by Philips).

Prior to joining NMP, Spence was a co-founder of RGC Advisors, an entity formed to make acquisitions in the home health industry. Previously, he worked in the corporate development group of Healthways, Inc., where he was responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing acquisitions and strategic partnerships for the company. In addition, he developed numerous business plans on potential new markets, channels and business models for the company’s solutions. Prior to joining Healthways, Spence was an associate with the private equity firm Willis Stein & Partners, where he supported investment decisions through extensive due diligence and analysis while also assisting portfolio company management teams with strategic planning. He has also worked in the investment banking groups of J.C. Bradford & Co. and DLJ / Credit Suisse First Boston.

Spence is a past chairman of Venture Atlanta and on the Board of Directors of the Southern Capital Forum. He received a BA from Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

John Ale

John joined NMP as a Vice President in August 2015. He supports the firm’s investments in software and information technology companies. John currently serves as a board observer for Red Canary, TapInfluence and TrendKite.

Prior to joining NMP, John served as an Associate on the Investment Team at Marlin Equity Partners, a global private equity firm with $3 billion of capital under management that specializes in investing in technology companies. Previously, he worked at Harris Williams & Co., a middle-market investment bank focused on M&A.

John received a BS in Systems Engineering and a MS in Commerce from the University of Virginia, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Bill Hudson
Administrative Partner/CFO

Bill Hudson joined NMP in 2001 as its CFO. Bill is responsible for internal and external financial reporting, accounting, tax, limited partner relations and administration of the Firm’s active funds and management company. In addition to working with other partners and portfolio companies on investment structuring and other financial matters, Bill was previously a board director or observer for several prior NMP investments including Gateway One Lending (acquired by TCF Financial) and Dealer Services Corporation (acquired by Manheim).

Prior to joining NMP, Bill held senior financial management positions with several companies, including Equifax and nBank.com. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he spent nine years auditing large multinational companies. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and received a BS in commerce from the University of Virginia.

Beth Warchol
Vice President / Controller

Beth Warchol joined NMP in 2002 and assists the CFO with all financial accounting, reporting, analysis and tax functions for the firm’s funds and management company. Previously, she was an Audit Manager with Arthur Andersen.

Beth is a Certified Public Accountant and received a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Florida.

Karen DeBolt joined NMP in 2007. She brings more than 18 years of executive level support experience to NMP and serves as Executive Assistant for several of the firm’s partners. She received a BS degree in Finance from Florida State University.
