Charlie Moseley
Chairman and Founder

Charlie Moseley founded NMP in 1983 and served as a general partner in the Firm’s first five investment funds. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of NMP’s Advisory Committee. Previously, Charlie was a Senior Vice President and Director of The Robinson-Humphrey Company, Inc., a major regional investment banking firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Under his management, this department grew to become the leading corporate investment banking operation in the Southeast.
Charlie currently oversees NMP’s investments in Gas Components Group, PGA Tour Superstore, Liaison Technologies and LearnSomething. In addition, Charlie currently serves on the boards of the Georgia Tech Foundation, Metropolitan Atlanta Boys & Girls Club, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and Teachers Retirement System of Georgia. In 2004, he was inducted into the Georgia Technology Hall of Fame. Charlie received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Facundo L. Bacardi
Mr. Facundo L. Bacardi is Chairman of Bacardi & Company, Ltd.
Mr. Bacardi is founder and president of Apache Capital, a private equity and real estate investment company based in Miami. He received his B.S.B.A. in finance from American University and his J.D. degree from Emory University Law School.
David F. Bellet
Mr. David F. Bellet is the retired Chairman of Crown Advisors Ltd., a private equity firm which managed over $500 million invested in private and public emerging growth companies for a worldwide mix of individual and institutional clients from 1981 until his retirement in 2005.
Prior to founding Crown Advisors in 1981, Mr. Bellet was with Citibank's Investment Management Group for thirteen years where he initiated and pioneered the institutional use of alternative investments such as venture capital and private equity beginning in 1975. Mr. Bellet serves on the advisory boards of several United States and foreign venture capital and private equity firms. He received his BA from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Columbia University.
Russell R. French
Rusty retired from NMP in 2007 and joined NMP's Advisory Committee in 2008. He practiced law with the Atlanta firm of King & Spalding for fifteen years prior to joining NMP in 1985. While at King & Spalding, he specialized in corporate and securities law and was responsible for negotiating a number of acquisitions, mergers, and public offerings. In addition, Rusty was a member of King & Spalding's Management Committee for the three years prior to his departure to join NMP.
Rusty received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University and his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Jack Kelly
Jack retired from NMP in 2004 and joined NMP's Advisory Committee in 2007. He was employed by Scientific-Atlanta, Inc., for twenty-five years prior to joining NMP in 1983. Scientific-Atlanta is a manufacturer of high-technology electronic and communications equipment and was acquired by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO) in 2006. He became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Scientific-Atlanta in 1968 and served in that capacity until joining NMP.
Jack received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Georgia State University and attended the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
Clifford M. Kirtland
Mr. Clifford M. Kirtland is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta, Georgia-based Cox Communications, Inc., a leading broadcasting and cable television company.
Mr. Kirtland is a former member of numerous Boards of Directors of other corporations, including Oxford Industries, Shaw Industries, Graphic Industries, Life Insurance Company of Georgia, Salomon Brothers Fund, Inc. and CSX Corporation.
Thomas E. Noonan
Mr. Thomas E. Noonan assumed the role of president and CEO at JouleX, a leading innovator in enterprise networked device power management, in 2010. Mr. Noonan also is a partner at TechOperators, an early-stage investing firm he co-founded in 2008.
He is the former chair, president and CEO of Internet Security Systems, which was acquired by IBM in 2006 for $1.5 billion. Prior to ISS, Noonan held senior positions at Dun and Bradstreet Software, where he was vice president, Worldwide Marketing.
Noonan holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and a business degree from Harvard. He is active in numerous professional societies and serves on the boards of Woodruff Arts Center, Georgia Tech Foundation, Georgia Tech’s College of Computing, the Carter Center’s Board of Counselors, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Young President’s Organization.
Dr. G.P. "Bud" Peterson is the eleventh president of the Georgia Institute of Technology. In this capacity he oversees a top-ten public research university with more than 19,000 students and more than $500 million in sponsored funding.
Throughout his career, Dr. Peterson has played an active role in helping to establish the national education and research agendas, serving on numerous industry, government, and academic task forces and committees. A distinguished scientist, Dr. Peterson was selected in 2008 by President George W. Bush to serve on the National Science Board through 2014. The Board oversees the National Science Foundation (NSF) and advises the President and Congress on national policy related to science and engineering research and education.
Dr. Peterson earned undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics as well as a master's degree in engineering from Kansas State University. He earned his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University.
J.F. van Vlissingen
Mr. John A. Fentener van Vlissingen is the Chairman of BCD Holdings, parent company of BCD Travel, one of the world’s leading business travel firms.
Mr. van Vlissingen serves on the Board of Directors of numerous foreign and U.S. based companies, including WorldTravel Partners and Park 'N Fly in Atlanta.
Dr. James Wagner
James W. Wagner, Ph.D., an award-winning teacher and scientist, became president of Emory University in 2003. Dr. Wagner earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1975 from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in clinical engineering in 1978 from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In 1984, he completed his Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from Johns Hopkins. Following a distinguished tenure on the faculty of Johns Hopkins, Dr. Wagner served as dean, provost, and interim president of Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Wagner has authored more than 115 publications and has served as editor or editorial board member for several serial publications. His research interests and activities have stemmed in part from his early employment with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he developed quality-assurance methods and performed failure analyses on medical devices. At Johns Hopkins his research focused on optical and microwave methods for sensing strains and displacements in materials and structures. In 2007, Dr. Wagner received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering and the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association.
Dr. Wagner serves on the boards of The Carter Center, the Georgia Research Alliance, and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
